HOST

Our Hosts are our front line! They are responsible for creating a welcoming environment for the customer experience from the moment they walk in the door!

 

As a Host, you are responsible for creating a welcoming environment for every customer's experience at the Brown Bag Café. Our Hosts ensure that our customers are seated promptly, cheerfully, attentively, and courteously. The Host primarily focuses on ensuring the guests have a positive experience as soon as they enter the restaurant.

Some of the duties of this position include, seating guests, answering the phone, cashing out dine-in orders, taking, entering, monitoring and packaging To-Go orders, and helping to clear, clean and prepare tables for the next customers.

A qualified applicant must have good communication skills, able to lift 25-50 pounds, stand for up to 8 hours, occasionally use motion which entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.

Team members are also required to perform duties necessary for restaurant operations as assigned by acting supervisor following governmental and company policies.

Our servers are the heartbeat of our operation! How many times has a bad service, changed how you felt about a restaurant? 

 

Brown Bag Servers are motivated, team oriented, friendly, dependable, and driven to providing excellent customer service. A qualified candidate will greet, take orders and serve our customers, providing a high-quality dining experience.

This position requires you to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift, be able to lift at least and/or move up to 25 pounds and have full mobility of hands and arms while performing repetitive tasks.

 

Team members are also required to perform duties necessary for restaurant operations as assigned by acting supervisor following governmental and company policies.

Bringing the Food

Cook

Our Cooks keep our foundation in tact! Our cooks ensure that both the taste and presentation of our food remains delicious, safe and inviting while partnering with our waitstaff to provide a high-quality dining experience.

 

Cooks are responsible for the preparation and cooking of food products accurately and with minimal waste. Duties of this position include learning and applying all of Brown-Bag's specialized terminology, plating, menu items and procedures according to company standards.

Cooks are expected to set up equipment, verify stock, and maintain a clean and sanitary work area while maintaining company sanitation and food safety standards at all times. 

 

This position requires you to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift, be able to lift at least and/or move up to 50 pounds and have full mobility of hands and arms while performing repetitive tasks.

 

Cooks are also required to perform duties necessary for restaurant operations as assigned by acting supervisor, following governmental and company policies.
